Our Build Process
Step 1. Initial contact
After you’ve taken the first step to contact us, Jonny will arrange a time to come out to your home where we will sit down and discuss all of your ideas, designs and look over your plans if you have any. During this phase it is great if you can bring along your ideas, plans, sketches and imagery related to the build. This insures that your vision and ideas are fully incorporated to create the home of your dreams.
Step 2. Home Design
Do you have an architect yet? If not, no worries we work with trusted in qualified architects and we will be delighted to refer you to one that suits your vision in need.
Step 3. Council-ready plans are priced
Once you are happy with your plans and concepts, you will be provided with a detailed quote, including estimates for any changes. We will answer any questions you have and provide you with the job schedule, including starting and completion dates.
Step 4. Council plans are approved
These plans are used to create your dream home. As such they contain every detail required to physically build it. From the type of timber or steel to be used for the structure, right through to the type of cladding and windows used on the outside. These plans are sent to the Council to gain approval so that building work can commence.
Step 5. The Contract
With pricing confirmed and plans approved, you'll receive your Master Builders Contract. This contract will outline your project. From dates to rates, all of the major details are identified and discussed with you, then signed off. This contract is the best way to safeguard you and your project as well as keep everyone's expectations aligned. We'll offer you a Master Builders 10 Year Guarantee too, to insure peace of mind while building with us.
Step 6. Build Begins
With your plans good to go and your contract signed, a deposit is paid to lock in your build. Starting on the agreed date. Jonny manages the sub-trades, suppliers and our experienced team on-site. Ensuring every detail is implemented and the build runs on time and budget. You'll have regular on-site meetings with Jonny to keep you totally informed.
Step 7. Completion
Once the build is complete a final code of compliance inspection will be undertaken. We will do a thorough, on-site clean so you have nothing to worry about other than to walk into your newly built home.
If you’re thinking of building and you want to work with a company that strives to build great, excellent homes then all you need to do is give us a call, we love to hear from you.
